I see John quite often. He gave up playing shortly after he left the band and went into bodybuilding. He competed on an amateur level for a while, doing that for a few years, and has sort of been in and out of that, but he still works out, and I work out with him a few times a week at a local gym - at a Gold's, here in Toronto." In a recent interview on the VH1 Classic show "Hangin' With," Alex revealed that he had quit seeing John around 1990.nondisclosed_email@example.com (TNCreature)Wed, 20 Jun 2007 13:08:40 +0000 Whatever Happened To John Rutsey?https://bmusicloversforum.runboard.com/p46,from=rss#post46https://bmusicloversforum.runboard.com/p46,from=rss#post46 That Handsome Devil! From www.weht.net (What Ever Happened To) "Original drummer for the Canadian power trio Rush, played on the self-titled debut album in 1974. The stories we heard growing up was that he quit the band thinking "they were going nowhere". It appears the main reason he left the group was due to health reasons, he had diabetes and couldn't go on extended tours. After a failed attempt to start another band he quit drums altogether and became a body builder, apparently living in Toronto."nondisclosed_email@example.com (TNCreature)Wed, 20 Jun 2007 13:00:53 +0000
